"Cancer does not know if you are in a conflict situation or not"

Dr. Nazik Hammad is a medical oncologist with a focus on global health and cancer care. Her research interests include medical education workforce development, and addressing health inequities in low and middle-income countries, particularly in Sub-Sharan Africa. She has contributed to significant initiatives such as the Choosing Wisely Africa Initiative and the Lancet Commissions on Cancer and Sub-Saharan Africa and Women, Power, and Cancer. Additionally, she is involved in leadership roles within the Black Physicians' Association of Ontario and the Toronto Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration.
