Dr Menghis Bairu, Co-founder and CEO of BUI, remarked, “Our journey towards healthcare equity in Africa is greatly augmented with the addition of Dr. Ghosh to our Executive team. His deep experience in international public health strategic and tactical leadership across governmental agencies and diverse initiatives make him an invaluable addition to our team. His vision aligns perfectly with our mission to revolutionize healthcare access across Africa.”

“I am delighted to join Bio Usawa and its efforts to bring high quality and affordable public health solutions to Africa and other countries in need,” Raj Shakar commented. “The medicines that BUI develops in collaboration with local African partners will be truly successful when they are made available and accessible to all, including particularly vulnerable populations. I am happy to work with the BUI team and our partners to develop and deliver lifesaving medicines, while building capacity and integrating our efforts across prevailing health systems in the African countries where we work. I look forward to the day when medicines developed at the BUI facilities are rolled out in African nations and patients have been treated with those medicines. For me, the benchmark of our success will be how soon we can ensure that every human life in African nations has access to the world class - and affordable - medicines that Bio Usawa manufactures."

The Bio Usawa team extends a warm welcome to Raj Shankar Ghosh, as we look forward to building a healthier future for Africa and beyond.
